Ukraine’s energy sector is rebuilding under fire and at the same time reorienting toward renewable sources and distributed generation, closer to the consumer and more resilient to strikes. Integration with the European grid ENTSO-E, the reform of the electricity market and programmes of international finance have opened the sector to the investor, yet grid connection, licensing and balancing remain the bottlenecks that decide the fate of every project.
